Types and Use of Tillage for Agriculture

Tillage is used as an implement by a tractor to prepare the soil for seeding. Tillage is done by a mechanical tool that has some strong metal teeth and a hinge to attach to the tractor. Tillage is used to dig, turn the soil and kill the weed. It’s necessary to modify the physical and chemical body of the soil to make it fertile for seedbed and root growths.

Types of Tillage:

Primary Tillage- This type of tillage is used to dig the soil deep around 15 cm to turn the soil and move out the roots of weeds or scramble solid soil.

Secondary Tillage – This type of Tillage is used to cut the surface and make it perfect for seedbed and it maintains the moisture, elongation, and proliferation of roots.
